Concert Programmes Archive

Birmingham Bach Choir has been performing in the UK city of Birmingham, around the Midlands and further afield for over a hundred years. During this time numerous people have collected materials related to the choir's history, its organization, concerts, concert reviews, venues, patronage, ticketing, publicity, and much more. Since the mid 1960s the archive materials were catalogued and looked after by the late Michael Palmer, the choir's Honorary Vice President and Archivist. In 2023 the choir committee decided to create a digital archive of concert programmes and make it publicly available on the choir website.

The archive now holds nearly four hundred programmes, the earliest one dating from 1930. They offer a fascinating insight into music and singing throughout the years.
