Birmingham’s leading large chamber choir.

Birmingham Bach Choir, led by Music Director Paul Spicer, gives inspiring performances throughout the Midlands, with a distinctive mix of choral music accompanied by baroque orchestra, organ or a cappella.

Our repertoire spans six centuries but especially the music of JS Bach, the Baroque period and contemporary British choral music.

2026 kicks off with our Come and Sing! of Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise, 31 January in Sutton Coldfield, to which all singers are very welcome. Our concerts include a wonderful programme of sacred music in St Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham, 16 March, an afternoon summer date with Shakespeare songs, Bridgnorth 4 July, and Vaughan William's Mass in G with Parry Songs of Farewell at Bournville 21 November, finishing the year with our traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols in St Alban’s, Birmingham 13 December.
Last year’s programme included Bach’s Mass in B Minor (Lichfield Cathedral), Fauré’s Requiem in a programme of French music (Malvern Priory) and a programme celebrating Rutter’s 80th birthday (Birmingham).
